Amiga HistoryAs a kid i got my first amiga 600. It was the best thing I ever got, there were so many things you could do with the amiga and the games back then were so good. I'm glad I was lucky enough to own an Amiga. One of my favourite games I played alot as a kid was SWOS. We used to have mini tournaments to see who was the best. I still play SWOS today - with a few team upgrades.
What Does The Hobby Mean To Me?A few years ago I was going to sell all my amiga stuff until I came across the NAG page on facebook. I saw they had a meet up soon so I went along with my amiga to see if I could get it repaired and working again. The guys at NAG were so helpful and within months it was up and running just like back in the day. I had to upgrade a few things, like a new membrane for the keyboard and took out the disk drive and put in a gotek drive. I attend most of The NAG meets each month. I like chatting with other NAG members to see what upgrades they've got in their Amigas, so I can see what upgrades I can use for mine. Another good thing about the NAG meets is I've gotten to meet so many good people and made some good friendships. ![]() ![]() A picture of my Amiga 600 and the joysticks I use. I've not got many upgrades yet, the only upgrades I have got are a new membrane, a new Gotek drive and a little bit of retrobright on the case to get rid of the yellow. Joysticks in the picture are Immortal Joystick & Quick Shot. |
