Amiga History

I actually got my first Amiga in 2020, as part of personal project restoring machines I never got to use when I was younger. Since then I have amassed a large collection, became one of the community admins for PiStorm and am well known for designing new parts for them and restoring them.

What Does The Hobby Mean To Me?

Unlike most, I'm not a gamer, I very much enjoy working with the hardware more. The hardware for the Amiga is fascinating to me, and I enjoy working with it.

Projects

I've designed a number of parts for Amigas, including:

  • Amiga specific RGBtoHDMI boards
  • ROMulus - Amiga programmable ROM board
  • RAMesses - 2MB chip RAM upgrade board
  • GoFloppy - Floppy drive emulator

In addition, I blog about Amiga restorations at linuxjedi.co.uk as well as write articles for Amiga Addict and Pixel Addict magazines.

My Amiga Systems

The upgrades in these systems vary, at time of writing:

  • Several Amiga 500s
  • Amiga 500+ - 68030
  • Amiga 600 - Stock
  • Amiga 1200 - PiStorm32-Lite
  • Amiga 2000 - Stock
